Check Your Idioms

If you’re going to be an ally, watch what words you use.

“Silence is not allyship. Reconciliation means that we shoulder the burden… to say something if you know what’s been said is not right. Do not be comlacent; be active and informed.” (pg 35)

Multicultural Potluck

Middle Eastern Potluck March 15th at Our Global Family Farm

Multicultural Potlucks are held monthly on the farm. Join us on the third Sunday at 1pm. These connect us to our family roots & cultural heritages from around the world. Gather in celebration at our Multicultural Potlucks, where every meal is a testament to the rich tapestry of cultural diversity that defines our community. These potlucks are more than just food events—they're dynamic spaces for cultural exchanges, where you can share stories, food, comradrie.

More than one billion Muslims across the globe will soon celebrate a holiday called Eid al-Fitr. Eid al-Fitr, means the “Holiday of Breaking the Fast.” It is one of the major holidays of the Islamic faith. This holiday spans over three day with the first day marking the end of the month of Ramadan. The month of Ramadan Muslims refrain from eating, drinking, and intimacy with their spouses from sunrise to sunset. In the evening, they gather in the mosque to perform a special congregational prayer called Tarāwīḥ.

Back to Basics with Permaculture

Community Gatherings
Check out this series of workshops on creating a regenerative system that we want to create for our collective futures! These workshops will be held at the community space known as Osos Garden Cafe (previously called Celia’s Garden Cafe).

The workshops will introduce permaculture concepts about food, water, shelter, and energy ….. all basic to our survival…..but re-envisioned with a regenerative systems approach to respecting our natural resources while providing for our ecosystem, economy and equity.

The dates align with the two equinoxes (March 21st and September 19th) and the two solstices (June 20th and December 19th)
Workshops are 2pm to 4pm and are $10/person. Then at 4pm - 9pm stick around for Food, Music and Art celebrations at Osos Garden Cafe!
