Ways to Reconcile from the book “52 Ways to Reconcile, How to Walk with Indigenous Peoples” by David A. Robertson

Read a Memoir of a Native American

"The School Days of an Indian Girl" by Zitkala-Sa, a Native American writer who recounts her childhood memories of being sent to a boarding school.

“…When reading a memoir we find that even tough we may be from different backgrounds, we share a lot as human beings, and finding those connections is not only healing, but, within the context of reconciliation, are an important step on the journey…. We need those intimate connections to feel accountable to one another, to understand powerfully and meaningfully that we are walking together.” (pg. 38)

Multicultural Potluck

Middle Eastern Potluck March 15th at Our Global Family Farm

Multicultural Potlucks are held monthly on the farm. Join us on the third Sunday at 1pm. These connect us to our family roots & cultural heritages from around the world. Gather in celebration at our Multicultural Potlucks, where every meal is a testament to the rich tapestry of cultural diversity that defines our community. These potlucks are more than just food events—they're dynamic spaces for cultural exchanges, where you can share stories, food, comradrie.

More than one billion Muslims across the globe will soon celebrate a holiday called Eid al-Fitr. Eid al-Fitr, means the “Holiday of Breaking the Fast.” It is one of the major holidays of the Islamic faith. This holiday spans over three day with the first day marking the end of the month of Ramadan. The month of Ramadan Muslims refrain from eating, drinking, and intimacy with their spouses from sunrise to sunset. In the evening, they gather in the mosque to perform a special congregational prayer called Tarāwīḥ.
